Old art!

Found a few pictures of art on my computer from freshman year...

some little sketchbook doodles...

You should be
careful with
dreamlands
becasue when
you wake up
it may not
be so pleasant.

HOMAGE

There are a few things I will miss,
A girl with no shirt on
lighting a cigarette

and brushing her hair in the mirror.
The sound of a mailbox
opening somewhere,

and closing at two in the morning
of the first snow,
and the words for them.

"If I find in myself desires
which nothing in this world
can satisfy, the only logical
explanation is that I was
made for another world"

Paper fashion show at Mile High Station in Denver

There were some real insane/amazing/horrifying/tickiling outfits at the show and tons of people, luckily I didn't trip or faint on the runway! Plus as a delightful treat I got my makeup and hair professionally done before the show, I don't think I've ever spent more time washing my face in my life... But, it was an intense event and a great example of how much talent I have to compete with in the art world! Below the first picture is the 1st place winner, and the big green one (on stilts!) is the audience choice!

Just because I must...

On a different more extreme note, somewhere out there people are making dresses out of condoms (makes paper dresses look so boring).

Paper Fashion show!

For two weeks myself and a partner have been working on a dress made entirely out of paper (but also tape, glue, and fasteners, love, forehead grease, thoughts squishy sounds, spermicidal lubricant, and fear of the unknown). We recently were among the winners of the paper fashion show at my funny little school woo hoo! Which, if you so desire, can see a small clip on Nine News here: http://www.9news.com/video/default.aspx#/E-Block%3A+Going+Green!+on+the+Cheap!/72173051001

On Thursday we will be showing it again at the Mile High station paper fashion show in Denver at The Art Directors Club Denver's 6th Annual Paper Fashion Show, which will be an unforgettable evening of wearable art in motion.

Below is me with my pal who also helped make the dress!
